Seeking postdoctoral position in animal behavior and welfare

Name: Aleksei (Alex) Podturkin

Email

I am a PhD in biology, an animal welfare researcher with 10 years of experience in studying zoo-housed animals at the Scientific Research Department of the Moscow Zoo in Russia.

My area of interest lies in the study of proximal mechanisms that regulate animal behaviour. I am currently studying the relationship between environmental uncertainty and animal behaviours, to better understand how the sensitivity of animals to stressors is associated with both positive and negative behavioural welfare indicators.

My experience includes working with a variety of mammals’ species and some birds, collaborations with laboratory and zoos, and 5-year teaching experience.

I am looking for a paid Postdoctoral position in animal behaviour and welfare for one-year placement or longer from autumn 2020.
