Maeve Manet

Maëva is a PhD student at the department of Animals in Science and Society of Utrecht University, the Netherlands. She focusses on laying hen welfare, more specifically on the influence of genetics and incubation environment on stress responsivity, using behaviour, endocrinology and neurobiology. Her research project is part of the European Training Network “ChickenStress”. She has a master’s degree in ethology from the university of Paris XIII, France. Contact at .

There are nearly 700 members worldwide and each year the Society assembles for a major International Congress, where in addition to addresses by special keynote speakers, members present their latest research findings. There are also regular regional conferences held to encourage local knowledge exchange.
