Stephanie Lürzel

I am a behavioural biologist and currently a postdoc at the Institute of Animal Welfare Science at Vetmeduni Vienna (Austria). After completing my dissertation on social influences on the stress response of guinea pigs (WWU Münster, Germany), I switched to applied ethology. My work focuses on the animal-human relationship and its transmission to other conspecifics, as well as animal affective states, especially positive emotions, and their physiological consequences. At the moment, I mainly work with cattle.
