I am an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist in Animal Welfare in the Department of Animal & Dairy Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. I received my Ph.D. in the interdisciplinary Animal Behavior graduate program at the University of California-Davis (UC Davis), USA. Subsequently, I conducted postdoctoral research in the Department of Animal Science at UC Davis and with the Animal Welfare Program at the University of British Columbia, Canada. My research focuses on understanding dairy animal welfare, and I seek to improve quality of life for dairy animals and promote the sustainability of the dairy industry.
