Development Officer (2016-2020)
I work as an Animal Welfare Advisor for international NGO Brooke, Action for Working Horses and Donkeys. I am responsible for providing advice and training to the staff and partners working in Africa, Asia and Latin America. I support them to understand the impact on working equids of their programmes in healthcare, community engagement and advocacy. Previously, I was Food Business Research Officer at Compassion in World Farming, where I engaged leading food companies in science to raise welfare standards on farms. I completed a BSc in Animal Behaviour at the University of Sheffield and an MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare at the University of Edinburgh, for which I studied play behaviour in future guide dogs with the University of Nottingham.
