Megan Luca Oceania

Megan is an animal welfare scientist at the Animal Welfare Science Centre, The University of Melbourne, Australia. She specialises in pig welfare but is interested in animal welfare and behaviour across diverse settings. Megan’s research focuses on how housing and management influence welfare, with specific interests in human-animal interactions, stress resilience, early-life experiences, abnormal behaviour, and learning. She is particularly passionate about applied research that delivers real-world impact for animals. Megan is also committed to high quality teaching practices in tertiary education, and coordinates subjects on applied animal behaviour, welfare, and ethics.
