Karen Thodberg is the regional secretary from Summer 2023 on. She is a Senior Researcher at Aarhus University in Denmark. She has a Master in Biology from Aarhus University and a PhD from The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University (now University of Copenhagen), both on topics within the field of applied ethology. Her research activities involves several animal species, and cover topics such as animal transport, tail biting and tail docking in pigs, individual coping strategies, maternal behaviour, housing of horses and poultry, and more recently; human-animal interactions, especially regarding the use of dogs as therapy animals and their impact on humans.
