Irene Camerlink

Irene Camerlink is currently postdoctoral researcher in the Animal Behaviour and Welfare team at Scotland´s Rural College (SRUC), Edinburgh, UK. Her research focuses on the social behaviour of pigs, which she combines with genetics, behavioural ecology and social science. Irene obtained her PhD in 2014 at the Animal Breeding and Genomics department and Adaptation Physiology group of Wageningen University, Netherlands, before moving to Scotland.

There are nearly 700 members worldwide and each year the Society assembles for a major International Congress, where in addition to addresses by special keynote speakers, members present their latest research findings. There are also regular regional conferences held to encourage local knowledge exchange.
