I am a researcher at the Research Institute for Farm Animal Biology (FBN) in Dummerstorf, Germany. I graduated in 2015 with a degree in Agricultural Sciences from Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany, and was subsequently awarded a DFG fellowship to conduct research at Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom. Since 2017, I have been working at FBN. My research focuses on how farm animals perceive and interact with their physical and social environments, and how these insights can be applied to improve management practices and human–animal interactions. In addition, I am actively engaged in initiatives that promote the accessibility and dissemination of scientific knowledge—both within academia and to the wider public—through Open Science practices and science communication.
