Volunteer Research Assistant with Kalahari Meerkat Project

Kalahari Meerkat Project
University of Zurich and University of Cambridge

We aim to fill volunteer research assistant positions at the Kalahari Meerkat Project, based at our long-term field site in the Kalahari Desert in South Africa. Positions are for 12-months, starting from March 2022 onwards on a rolling basis. We highly encourage applicants from the African continent, as well as international applications.

The position would be suitable for recent graduates of a zoology or biological sciences degree, or anyone with a passion for behavioural ecology and relevant background. We aim to provide successful candidates with an opportunity to become important members of a team of scientists in a unique and beautiful remote environment. The Kalahari Research Centre provides excellent field facilities, and a reasonable stipend is provided to all volunteers along with accommodation and food. The opportunity would provide exceptional skills and experiences for continuing in field-based research environments, and beyond.

Deadline for applications: 16th January 2022.
