Post-Doctoral Position in Dairy Cattle Welfare

UBC’s Animal Welfare Program is inviting applications for post-doctoral scholars, starting in the summer/fall of 2023. The duration of the position will be one year, with the potential of renewal for another year. Scholars will be expected to conduct research and prepare the findings for publication.
We are seeking scholars interested in working with dairy cattle, with a special interest in one of the four following areas: 1) Calf and Heifer Rearing, 2) Cow Health and Lameness, 3) Housing Facilities and Management, and 4) Painful Procedures. Expertise in conducting systematic reviews will be considered an asset. Please note, that only applicants with demonstrated and direct research experience relevant to one of these four research areas will be considered and should be explicitly covered in the cover letter along with the applicant’s current research interests. Applicants must have a PhD in order to apply as a post-doctoral researcher.
