The Animal Behaviour and Welfare team of the Institute of Genetics and Animal Biotechnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IGBZ-PAN) is looking for a motivated post-doctoral researcher to study the social behaviour of pigs. The post-doctoral researcher will work in a multidisciplinary environment with a broad range of learning opportunities. The 3-year project will focus mainly on social behaviour of pigs, which can be approached from an evolutionary perspective as well as for its relevance to animal welfare. The tasks include data collection on research pigs in Edinburgh, UK (several months) and at the institute in Jastrzebiec (near Warsaw) Poland, collection of samples, laboratory analyses, and writing of scientific publications. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on grant proposals for securing future funding
