Manager, Behavior Rehabilitation
ASPCA
Weaverville (NC), USA
The ASPCA’s Behavioral Rehabilitation Center (BRC) in Weaverville, NC, is the first and only facility dedicated to the rehabilitation and study of extremely fearful, undersocialized dogs, such as those confiscated from puppy mills and hoarding situations. The goal of the entire BRC team is to work together to improve these dogs’ quality of life and prepare them for life in adoptive homes---an impossible outcome without intensive, structured behavioral interventions and integrative holistic care
The Manager, Behavior Rehabilitation will play an integral role in the BRC’s direct, on-site work with behaviorally compromised animals. The manager will report to the Senior Director of Behavior Rehabilitation and manage five direct reports---a team of animal behavior specialists who implement treatment protocols. The Manager, Behavior Rehabilitation and fellow BRC managers will comprise a strong, cohesive leadership team that prioritizes holistic, balanced care for all animals and communicates mutual respect for all areas of animal welfare expertise.
