Master’s positions on poultry behavior, welfare, and management

The Department of Poultry Science at Auburn University is seeking three passionate, inquisitive, and highly motivated individual(s) interested in a fully funded position as a Master graduate student in the disciplines of poultry behavior, welfare, and management. Students with an interest in performing research which helps increase the scientific understanding of poultry behavior and utilizing this knowledge to enhance poultry welfare and management are encouraged to apply. With the aid of the graduate advisor and a committee, the successful candidate will design and conduct experiments, perform animal care, collect and analyze data, present research findings at scientific meetings, and publish a minimum of 2 peer-reviewed journal articles. The candidate is expected to work collaboratively on their research projects and other projects within the Poultry Behavior and Welfare lab. The start date for the positions would be May, 2023 or August, 2023 (Flexible).
