New York, USA

The Department of Environmental Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Science at New York University invites applications for a tenured position in Environmental Sciences at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. We encourage applications from scholars across scientific disciplines with research interests in environmental science, and are particularly interested in researchers working at the nexus of energy, water, and food. The successful applicant will have a strong record of research and publishing. They will be committed to educating students in programs hosted by the Environmental Studies department, including the Environmental Studies undergraduate program, the anticipated Environmental Studies PhD program (expected to launch in Fall 2024), and/or the Animal Studies masters (MA) and undergraduate minor programs. Finally, they will be excited to work within a department that emphasizes and encourages transdisciplinary scholarship and systems thinking, and with a faculty whose work spans the natural and social sciences and the humanities.
