Amanda Doughty 2017

Amanda Doughty is the Allflex User Proficiency Manager for Livestock Monitoring in the APAC region. Her role focuses on research, development and end-use engagement in a commercial environment. Amanda completed a Bachelor of Science (Zoology) at Massey University (NZ), a Master’s degree (University of Queensland), a PhD with the CSIRO/University of New England and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of New England in Armidale, Australia. Amanda's research interests include using applied behaviour to understand animal motivation and remote and automated methods of monitoring behavioural changes in livestock to identify welfare issues.

There are nearly 700 members worldwide and each year the Society assembles for a major International Congress, where in addition to addresses by special keynote speakers, members present their latest research findings. There are also regular regional conferences held to encourage local knowledge exchange.
